Magmell.png

Name: Magmell
Habitat: Snowy peaks, Mountains, Ice caves
Diet: Small animals, Other crownies, Fish

Magmell are Brute type creatures which dwell in the coldest areas of earth. When a Magmell is of the age to leave it's den within the earth's mantle, it propels itself out of a volcano and onto the planet, where it spends it's years atop snowy mountains. Magmell's outer shell is layered with only the toughest rocks it can find, rocks which are so sharp, they have, in some instances, cut a person's arm in half by merely brushing by it. The claws of a Magmell are incredibly hot, they can cut through almost anything seamlessly. Magmell are a lot like magma aligators, they disguise their backs as a safe platform to walk across before consuming that which wishes to cross it. If implemented into the game, Magmell would have an interesting breeding quirk: the color of the rocks on it's back can never change. Magmell was inspired by the box turtle, as well as Alolan Vulipx, the kweichow crocodile newt, and the fire-bellied toad.

Odeki.png

Name: Odeki
Habitat: Islands, Forest clearings, Treetops
Diet: Bugs

Odeki are large Psycho type reptilian creatures which inhabit isolated sunlight areas. Throughout their lives, Odeki collect spores on their large backs, which eventually will transform into mushrooms. Odeki's backs are capable of having small communities of creatures inhabiting them, however these creatures are often consumed by Odeki: they can turn on anyone at any time. An Odeki can foster a large population of ants one day, and consume them the next. Odeki's fingers are coated in a sticky substance, allowing them to easily climb ub vertical surfaces. Odeki is based on the leaf-tailed gecko and the world turtle myth.

Drecho.png

Name: Drecho
Habitat: Unknown
Diet: Unknown

A few years ago, a man obtained a bizarre copy of a video game which appeared to speak to him. The man was unable cope with the psychological effects of the game, and thus drowned himself while out fishing one day. Since that day, the Psycho type Drecho has wandered the land, taking the form of a bizarre, bloodsoaken statue of Laz with glowing eyes. Drecho's true form is usually hidden somewhere nearby it's victim, however most victims never see Drecho's "body", but merely the strange cartridge it leaves behind at it's victim's home. Drecho is able to burst into flames at will, levitate a few feet of the ground, and bend objects close to it. When faced with it's victim, Drecho's eyes glow a bright yellowish purple, as it phases in and out of existence coming closer and closer each time it does so, eventually cornering the victim. What happens next, is a complete mystery, though a loud scream is heard, presumably not that of the victim, but that of Drecho itself, followed by the sound of breaking bones, and a splash. Drecho was inspired mainly by the BEN DROWNED myth, though it was also inspired by the Mist stone myth.

Fridjagog.png

Name: Fridjagog
Habitat: Lakeshores, Forests
Diet: Rats, Small Fish, Birds

Fidjagog is a Brute type creature which thrives during summer months, and becomes almost invisible during the winter. Fridjagog mate during the final week of fall on large open lakes, where they breed their young into eggs, which they then consume to keep safe for the winter. Fridgagog must undergo a state of hibernation during winter, and must consume large quantities of rats and small fish in order to endure the winter to come. In the weeks preceding the beginning of winter, many paths are blocked off by Frodjagog's rock solid, almost lifeless bodies. Researchers are very perplexed as to how a Fridjagog survives the winter, as most of their heartbeats and brainwaves stop. Frodjagog's crest is retractable, and they usually utilize it during mating season or to scare off predators. During winter, only a handful of Frigjagog remain conscious, however the cold generates allows Frodjagog to hit foes harder, and endure more powerful punches. If implemented into Crowns, Fridjagog would have toe ability to switch between it's Winter and Summer form, allowing for more versatility in combat. Additionally, Fridjagog would have a unique move: Ice Compaction, allowing the Winter form of Frigjagog to gain a boost in defense, but when used on Summer Fridjagog, it would deal damage to the enemy. Fridgagog was inspired by the Alaskan Wood Frog.

Name: Quipedalo
Habitat: Swamps, Stagnant Ponds
Diet: Blood

Considered by many to be the deadliest creature on the planet, Quipedalo are not offensive beasts in the slightest. Instead, Quipedalo's attack methods take more time than, say landing a few blows to an opponent. Quipedalo survive off of the blood and other bodily fluids of other monsters, making few allies, and remaining undetected as they seek out the most diseased or hurt creature in their area. Quipedalo will typically tear it's prey to shreds, and suck up all the blood of it's fallen victim using it's vacuum-like mouth. Once the blood has been harvested, Quipedalo will often rub a small amount on it's psythe-like arms in order to ensure it's opponent may be badly poisoned from it's attacks. Quipedalo's belly is transparent, though few realize this, as it's belly is often filled with blood or other bodily fluids it extracts. Quipedalo was inspired by various blood sucking organisms, primarily the leech and mosquito.

Name: Morosis
Habitat: Desert Caves, Underground (Deserts)
Diet: Roots, Mud

Inhabiting subterranean caves, Morosis rarely if ever see sunlight during their natural lives, however due to the desert climates a lot of them inhabit, they are occasionally forced to venture on land. Morosis's clear skin makes it very susceptible to creatures on land, thus it will "bribe" other creatures to protect it by spraying water from it's stomach into their mouths. In the rare situation that this doesn't work, Morosis will dig itself a deep burrow, eating mud and excreting it through it's thick whisker-like appendages, however this rarely works, and more often than not, they end up being swallowed whole by large predators. In rare situations, Morosis have been baked into bricks. Morosis was inspired by the lungfish, and other desert-dwelling creatures, primarily amphibians and fish.

Update on the fanmade Crownies:
Way back in December, I started this thread to share fan made monsters I'd created in my spare time for Crowns, but now I have something somewhat big to announce depending on how well you liked these creatures: Once Crowns releases and I acquire modding tools, I will be using all of these designs (plus a ton you haven't seen yet) in a massive Crowns overhaul called "The Jade King".
What does this mean for this thread though? Well, it means that unfortunately, I won't be posting any more designs until the mod is up, and I've likely burnt myself out in terms of designs, after all I intend to add a minimum of 70 new monster breeds in The Jade King. Please stay tuned to the forums for the release of Crowns, and The Jade King will be there to satisfy everyone who didn't quite get enough from Crowns!

Amazing work 16bit!

Once you're ready to share your progress I'll make sure you get a dedicated sticky'd thread on here!
